Here are a few recommendations to help relieve anxiety and depression.
If you suffer from panic attacks it may be due to a Omega-3 deficiency. Studies have shown that those who take flaxseed daily 2 to 3 teaspoons a day see improvements after a 2 month period.
B vitamins are fantastic mood boosters. At home we take Super B by Young living. This is a blend of all B vitamins and other mood supporting nutrients.
If you are nervous and wish to relax, consume more complex carbohydrates such as: Beans, Low Fat Yogurt, Buckwheat, Quinoa, Oats, Strawberries, Tomatoes, Potatoes, Broccoli, Spinach, Green Zucchini, Apples, Pears, Cucumbers, Asparagus, Grapefruit, Prunes. I suggest that you pick a few of these and throw them in a blender with water or coconut water. An efficient way to consume them fast and easy.
Foods that help with Anxiety and Depression:
- Walnuts are high in Omega-3 and support brain heath.
- Low-fat-Dairy contains vitamin D and protein.
- Dark Chocolate helps release serotonin which helps relax the blood vessels of the cardiovascular system.
- Avocado has plenty of B vitamins and vitamin E.
- Banana has 30% of the daily vitamin B6.
I also highly recommend essential oils. Lavender essential oil is a mild sedative and calms anxiety caused by Caffein. An essential oil blend that is a favorite in my home is Tranquil, it comes in a roll on for easy application to the body. Tranquil provides stress relief and relaxation , it contains lavender, cedarwood and roman chamomile, all these herbs are known for their ability to decrease anxiety and induce relaxation.
