Frankincense is one of the oldest essential oils. It is primarily used for meditation and to improve inner balance. It has been used in religious ceremonies for thousands of years and is well known during the time of Christ, as it was one of the gifts given to Christ at his birth.
Frankincense is also used in Ayurvedic medicine. Being a powerful anti-inflammatory, it helps conditions such as Rheumatoid Arthritis and Asthma. Studies have also found it has anti cancerous properties.
Why is Frankincense so important?
Frankincense has astringent properties that help stop bleeding wounds, heals boils, acne, and insect bites. It bring relief from congestion due to bronchitis.
It may be used to tone up the body’s respiratory, digestive, and nervous system.
I find frankincense magical in helping emotionally, physically, and on a spiritual level.
